Setup Steps

Follow these steps in order each time you start a session:

1.   Open ALVR Streamer on the PC.

2.   Toggle on ‘Wired Connection’ in the ‘Devices’ tab (should be there when opening app)

3.   In the bottom left corner you should see a section that says ‘SteamVR: Disconnected

4.   Navigate to the SteamVR folder (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64)

5.   Click on vrmonitor.exe to launch SteamVR.

6.   Check that ALVR Dashboard shows ‘SteamVR: Connected’

7.   Put on the headset and open ALVR on the Meta headset to connect to the PC.

8. Connect the headset to the PC, there should be a popup in the headset to enable ADB Commands click 'enable'

9.   Set SteamVR as the OpenXR runtime.  In the SteamVR desktop window (not inside the headset), open Settings → OpenXR and click “Set SteamVR as OpenXR Runtime.” If it already reads “Current OpenXR Runtime: SteamVR,” no change is needed. Restart SteamVR if prompted.

10. Turn off Vive OpenXR API layers are turned off.
